The Task Notification action in Stack allows you to efficiently manage tasks by creating new assignments with specific due dates for team members. This feature ensures that your team is always aware of what needs their attention and when.

Task Notification

This action facilitates task management by creating tasks, assigning them to users, and setting deadlines. You can customize task titles, assign users, add descriptions, and establish due dates, making it easier to keep track of responsibilities.

  • Action Name: Choose a name that reflects the task’s purpose, like “Add Task”.
  • Title: Enter a clear and concise title for the task. This will be visible to the assigned user.
  • Description: Provide a detailed description to give context and guidance about the task.
  • Assign To: Select the user or team member who will be responsible for completing the task.
  • Due In: Set a deadline using predefined durations, such as 1 day, 2 days, or immediate.
Field Name Description Mandatory
Title Title of the task to help users identify it. Yes
Description Detailed information about the task for context. No
Assign To Select the user from the list to assign the task. Yes
Due In Set the task’s deadline (e.g., 1 day, 2 days, 5 days, or “Now”). Yes

Imagine you need to assign a task to a team member, John, to follow up with a lead. Here’s how you can set it up:

  • Action Name: Add Task
  • Title: Follow-up with Lead XYZ
  • Description: Call Lead XYZ and check on the progress of their onboarding process.
  • Assign To: John Doe
  • Due In: 2 Days

In this scenario, John will receive the task in the system, with a due date set for 2 days from assignment.
