Conversations: Adding Internal Comments and Mentioning Users
Overview
Section titled “Overview”The Internal Comments feature in Stack is a powerful tool for keeping your team communication seamless and private. It allows you to add comments within conversations that are visible only to your team, ensuring that all internal discussions remain confidential and organized.
How to Use Internal Comments
Section titled “How to Use Internal Comments”Adding Internal Comments
Section titled “Adding Internal Comments”- Access a Conversation: Open the conversation where you want to add a comment.
- Select Internal Comment: In the message composer, click on the Internal Comment option.
- Compose Your Comment: Type your comment in the provided space.
- Tag Users: If you need to notify a team member, type
@followed by their name to tag them. - Send Your Comment: Click Send. Your comment will now be visible only to your internal team members.
Filtering Internal Comments
Section titled “Filtering Internal Comments”- Mentions of Me: To quickly find conversations where you’ve been mentioned, use the Mentions of Me filter.
- User Mentions: Filter conversations to see where a specific user has been mentioned.
- All Internal Comments: To view all internal comments in a conversation, apply the Internal Comments filter.
Managing Notifications
Section titled “Managing Notifications”To stay updated on mentions and new messages, make sure your notification settings are correctly configured:
- Go to Settings.
- Navigate to My Profile.
- Select Notifications.
- Enable notifications for mentions and new messages in conversations relevant to you.
By following these steps, you can ensure you never miss an important internal update in Stack.
