Math Calculations in Forms/Surveys
Discover the new Math Calculations feature in Stack, designed to enhance your forms and surveys by allowing you to perform real-time calculations. This feature enables the addition of custom fields and the setup of a calculator based on form or survey inputs.
What’s New?
Section titled “What’s New?”Custom Field - Score
Section titled “Custom Field - Score”You can now add a custom field to compute scores based on user inputs. This is perfect for scenarios where you need to evaluate or score responses dynamically.
Calculator
Section titled “Calculator”Set up mathematical calculation logic using numerical and monetary fields within your forms and surveys. The new calculator feature allows you to define how these calculations should be performed.
Real-time Calculation
Section titled “Real-time Calculation”Scores are calculated instantly as data is entered during the form or survey preview, providing immediate feedback and insights.
Support of Score in Conditional Logic
Section titled “Support of Score in Conditional Logic”Utilize scores in your conditional logic to create dynamic workflows. You can redirect users to different URLs, disqualify responses, or show/hide fields based on the calculated scores.
Supported Fields
Section titled “Supported Fields”- Numerical Type Fields: Use these for any number-based inputs.

How It Works
Section titled “How It Works”Adding a Custom Field
Section titled “Adding a Custom Field”To start using the score feature, navigate to the form or survey builder. Simply drag and drop the “Score” field from the Quick Add menu.
Setting Up Calculations
Section titled “Setting Up Calculations”Define your calculation logic by selecting the relevant numerical or monetary fields. Specify the rules for how these fields should interact to produce a score.
Previewing
Section titled “Previewing”Utilize the preview mode to observe real-time calculations as data is entered. This allows you to test and refine your logic before finalizing the form or survey.
