'Look Busy' in Calendar Settings

Overview

The “Look Busy” feature in Stack is a clever way to appear more in demand on your booking widget by concealing a portion of your available time slots. This creates a sense of urgency for your clients as they see fewer open slots. It’s important to remember that this feature only affects the booking widget; your full schedule remains accessible and bookable through the in-app appointment modal.

How It Works

When you activate the “Look Busy” feature, you can set a percentage of your slots to be hidden from your total availability. This percentage of slots is then randomly concealed from the widget. As clients book appointments, the number of visible slots stays the same until the actual available slots match the number displayed. At that point, the widget will show the true number of available slots.

Example

• If you have four time slots available in a day and choose to hide 50% of them, your clients might only see two available slots.
• Similarly, if you have ten time slots and hide 50%, the booking widget will reflect this by showing fewer slots.

How to Enable “Look Busy”

1. Go to Calendar Settings and select your desired calendar.
2. Navigate to the Availability tab.
3. Find the Look Busy option.
4. Turn it on and enter the percentage of slots you wish to hide.
5. Click Save.

• Event Calendar
• Round Robin Calendar
• Collective Calendar
• Service Calendar

Important Notes

• Class Booking and Service Menu: The “Look Busy” feature is not applicable for class bookings and service menus.
• Appointment Modal: All slots are shown in the in-app appointment modal, regardless of the “Look Busy” setting.
• Recurring Appointments: For recurring appointments, a slot may appear hidden due to the “Look Busy” setting on future dates, but it will still be booked based on the first slot’s date and time and the recurrence settings.
