Dynamic Products - Edit Details In Mobile Transaction

When conducting a transaction with Stack, you have the flexibility to modify product details on the go. This includes changing the Name, Description, Taxes, Price, and Quantity. You can also save these changes to your catalog for future use.

Custom Item Editor

• Adding a Custom Amount: While using the POS, Invoice, or Estimate features with the Keypad, you can rename “Custom Item” to anything you prefer. Simply tap on the Item Details button, located just below the amount under the Keypad tab. You can also add a description, which will appear on the final invoice or receipt.

Taxes for Custom Items

• Linking Taxes: You can associate taxes with custom items added via the keypad. Access this feature by tapping the Item Details button below the amount under the Keypad tab.

Save for Later Use

• Catalog Saving: If you wish to reuse a custom item, you can save it to your catalog. This option is available by tapping the Item Details button below the amount under the Keypad tab and toggling on Save for later use.

Editing Items on Review

• Review and Edit: The features mentioned above are accessible both on the keypad page and the review page. On the review page, you can edit catalog item details by tapping on the item tile and making necessary adjustments.

How to Open the Update Products Editor

You can open the Update Product editor to change item details in two ways:

1. Tap the large black Edit Details button on the Point of Sale number pad.
2. Tap the item card on the Review Payment screen.

Variant Combination Customization

To add a different variant combination of the same product, tap the “+” on the quantity counter on the catalog page, then select New Customization.

How to Use Dynamic Products

1. Install the Mobile App: Ensure you have your preferred Stack mobile app installed on your device.
2. Access the POS Section: Tap the “$” icon on the bottom bar of the app.
3. Add Items to Checkout:
   • Use the keypad for custom amounts or select from the catalog.
   • For keypad amounts, tap the highlighted Item Details button to customize.
4. Edit Item Details:
   • Change the item name from “Custom Item” to your preferred name.
   • Add a description, link taxes, adjust quantity, and change the price.
   • Save the item to the catalog for future use if desired.
5. Catalog Items: Tap the item tile to edit details such as name, description, price, and quantity. Select the correct variant combination if applicable.
6. Add Variant Combinations: Tap “+” on the quantity counter and select New Customization for different variants.
7. Review and Charge:
   • Tap “Charge” to proceed to the review step.
   • Make further edits by tapping the product tile.
   • After reviewing, tap Choose Payment Instruments to select a payment method or convert the transaction into an invoice or estimate.
