Select SMS To and From Numbers

When sending SMS messages through Stack’s Conversations module, you have the flexibility to choose which phone number you want to send from. This helps tailor your communications for each contact, making your interactions more effective.

How to Select a Phone Number for Sending SMS

1. Access the Conversations Module:

   • Open the Conversations module in Stack.
   • Click on the SMS tab to begin composing your message.

2. Choose the ‘From’ Number:

   • Locate the From number dropdown in the message composer.
   • Click the dropdown to see all available phone numbers.
   • By default, the number last used to message the contact will be selected. Each number will display its friendly name and the assigned user, along with tags indicating if it’s the default or last used number. If there hasn’t been a previous conversation, the default number will be selected.

3. Select the ‘To’ Number:

   • If your contact has multiple numbers, click the dropdown next to the To field.
   • Choose the appropriate recipient number for your message. If there hasn’t been a previous conversation, the primary contact number will be selected by default.

• Default Number: Access the default number configured for the account.
• Last Used Number: Use the last number used to message the contact.
• Assigned Numbers: Access numbers that are specifically assigned to you.
• Unassigned Numbers: Utilize numbers that are not assigned to any user.
