How to Add Recurring Products to Your Products List in Documents and Contracts

With Stack, you can now seamlessly add recurring products to your product list within the Document Builder. Here’s what you can expect:

Separate Setup Fee Display: If your product includes a setup fee, it will appear as a separate row in your list.
Combined Product Types: When you include both one-time and recurring products, the one-time product will only be charged on the first invoice.
Recurring Schedule in Templates: You can assign a start date for recurring products as the document’s completion date.

How to Use This Feature

Add Products to Your Document:
- Include both recurring and one-time products in your product list.
Set Up Recurring Schedules:
- When adding a recurring product, configure a schedule from the product list properties.
- Choose to set the invoice sending date as the document completion date or select a custom date.
Invoice Generation:
- Once the document is completed, an invoice will be sent:
  - Recurring Invoice: If at least one recurring product is included.
  - One-Time Invoice: If no recurring products are added.
Setup Fee Display:
- Any setup fees associated with a product will be displayed separately in the product list.

Why This Feature Was Built

This feature was developed to simplify the process of accepting invoices after a document is signed. Previously, the inclusion of recurring products and setup fees often complicated contract usage. With this update, managing contracts is now more straightforward.

Upcoming Enhancements to Payments via Documents and Contracts

2-In-1 Documents: Automatically display the invoice immediately after the primary signer completes the document.
One-Time Deposit: Enable collection of a percentage of the total product value within the invoice.
