How to add and manage your customer's cards on file
Efficiently managing customer payment methods is crucial for smooth transactions and an excellent customer experience. Stack offers features to help you easily add and manage your customers’ cards on file, ensuring secure storage and easy access to payment information.
Accessing Payment Management
Section titled “Accessing Payment Management”To manage payment methods, navigate through the following path:
- Contacts
- Contact Details
- Click on the ‘$’ icon (denotes Payments)
- Go to Actions
Adding a Card on File
Section titled “Adding a Card on File”To add a new card to a customer’s profile:
- Click the Add Card on File button under Actions.
- Enter the card details, including the card number, expiration date, CVV, and country.
- Verify the information you’ve entered.
- Click Add Card to save the card details.
You can add cards in both live and test modes.
Viewing Stored Cards
Section titled “Viewing Stored Cards”To view all cards stored for a customer:
- Click the Manage Cards button under Actions.
- All stored cards will be displayed in a list format.
- Each card entry will show the last four digits, expiration date, and any associated label.
Both test and live mode cards will appear in their respective lists.
Deleting a Card on File
Section titled “Deleting a Card on File”To remove a card from a customer’s profile:
- Find the card you wish to delete.
- Click the Delete button next to the card.
- Confirm the deletion in the pop-up prompt.
You can delete cards in both test and live modes. If a card is linked to an active subscription, a notification will appear before deletion. Deleting the card will leave the associated subscription without a payment method for automatic deductions.
